Dr. Derek Nevins, is a Board Certified Family Medicine Practitioner. He attended University of Wyoming and received his B.S. Degree in Zoology, Physiology and Psychology. He graduated from University of Washington School of Medicine in 2009 and completed a one year surgery internship. Dr. Nevins completed his residency at the University of Wyoming Family Practice Center in 2012. He was born and raised in Wheatland, Wyoming. He enjoys basketball, golf and spending time with his family.
Dr. Matthew Ptaszkiewicz has been a physician since 1999. He attended medical school at Michigan State University. Because of the abundance of consonants in his last name, he goes by “Dr. Matt”. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Matt moved to Fort Collins, Colorado in 2010 for the sunshine and the mountains. He has a beautiful son and daughter with whom he spends most of his free time. He likes to hike, bike, go to 80’s hair band concerts and loves his Detroit sports teams.
Dr. Kessler, born and raised in Flushing, Queens, NY, is a Board Certified Family Medicine Practitioner. He received his undergraduate degree from the State University of NY at Albany with a Major in Biology and a minor in business. Being fluent in Spanish, he attended medical school at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico. He went on to complete a one-year surgical residency program in the University of Florida at Gainesville. He completed his residency at the University of Wyoming Family Practice Center in 2016. Dr. Kessler enjoys mountain biking, camping, fishing, rock climbing, surfing, and playing guitar.
Dr. Khan is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He received his biology degree from Arizona State University and Medical Degree from St. Matthew’s University. He then completed his residency at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Program in Cheyenne and Sports Medicine Fellowship in Erie, PA. In his free time he enjoys watching and playing sports.
Melissa graduated from Midwestern University Glendale in 2015 with a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of Wyoming in 2011. She was born and raised in Laramie, Wyoming. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
Rachel graduated from Touro University Nevada in 2014 with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. She grew up in Worland, Wyoming and received her B.S. Degree in Physiology from the University of Wyoming in 2010. In her free time, she enjoys running, snowshoeing, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
Don graduated from the University of Nebraska and U.S. Air Force Physician Assistant Program and he completed his Master of Physician Assistant studies degree at the University of Nebraska. He practiced as a family practice physician assistant in the Air Force before retiring in 2002. Since then he has gained experience in chronic pain management and orthopedic/spine surgery, and urology. He is a member of the Association of Physician Assistants and the Wyoming Medical Society.
Julian graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2002 with a Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner. He worked in his hometown of Rolla, ND and has been at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residence Program. In 2016, Julian received the Excellence in Advanced Practice Nursing award for his outstanding contributions in the areas of clinical practice and leadership. Lastly, he completed a post masters program as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Julian is married with two daughters and loves to fish, hunt, and hike.
